Privacy Policy

Overview
In order to provide the CPA Server service and to keep your data secure from outside users, we must have you provide certain personal information. We use this information to set up user accounts, to provide secure passwords and for billing purposes.

This policy describes what information we collect from you and how it is used in our service. We do not sell or exchange your personal information with any other companies or individuals. By accepting the Acceptable Use Policy, you agree to allow us to use your information according to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not subscribe to the service.

This Privacy Policy is effective June 10, 2003. There was no previous version of the policy.

Children
This service is designed for business use and is not suited for children (persons under the age of 18).

Information We Collect
To set up an account with CPA Server, you must provide information including your company name, company phone numbers, your user’s names, self-assigned passwords, user’s phone numbers and emails, software versions, computer hardware setup information, and, if not using hosted software, your software registration numbers. When you set up a subscription, you have the option of using PayPal, which keeps your billing information, or paying direct by credit card. If you pay direct with credit card, we must keep your credit card information such as billing address, credit card number and expiration date on file.

If you call in or use Live Support for an issue with the service, we track the issue in a support database to refer to for recurring problems and follow-up support.

Disclosure of Your Information
Information is not sold for any marketing purposes. Information is disclosed to internal users only on an as needed basis. Billing information is kept within the sales department. Passwords are kept by upper-level technical support for emergency use. We do not disclose any personal information to outside parties other than the internal service providers that we use for development, maintenance and support of the service.

We disclose information in response to valid legal representatives when issued with a subpoena. We also disclose information to conform with any other government regulations.

Security
Your information is stored on servers located in the United States. Credit card information is not kept on any computers, but in a secure place in one of our offices. Our servers include encryption, firewalls, and other security features to protect the access to your information. As the service is over the internet, there can be no guarantee that the server can be protected from new or unforeseen factors.

Amendments
We may amend this Privacy Policy upon giving 30 days notices to all users and posting the amended policy on the web site.
