This policy describes what information we collect from you and
how it is used in our service. We do not sell or exchange your
personal information with any other companies or individuals.
By accepting the Acceptable Use Policy, you agree to allow us
to use your information according to the terms of this Privacy
Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not subscribe
to the service.
This Privacy Policy is effective June 10, 2003. There was no
previous version of the policy.
Children
This service is designed for business use and is not suited for
children (persons under the age of 18).
Information We Collect
To set up an account with CPA Server, you must provide information
including your company name, company phone numbers, your user’s
names, self-assigned passwords, user’s phone numbers and
emails, software versions, computer hardware setup information,
and, if not using hosted software, your software registration
numbers. When you set up a subscription, you have the option of
using PayPal, which keeps your billing information, or paying
direct by credit card. If you pay direct with credit card, we
must keep your credit card information such as billing address,
credit card number and expiration date on file.
If you call in or use Live Support for an issue
with the service, we track the issue in a support database to
refer to for recurring problems and follow-up support.
Disclosure of Your Information
Information is not sold for any marketing purposes. Information
is disclosed to internal users only on an as needed basis. Billing
information is kept within the sales department. Passwords are
kept by upper-level technical support for emergency use. We do
not disclose any personal information to outside parties other
than the internal service providers that we use for development,
maintenance and support of the service.
We disclose information in response to valid legal representatives
when issued with a subpoena. We also disclose information to conform
with any other government regulations.
Security
Your information is stored on servers located in the United States.
Credit card information is not kept on any computers, but in a
secure place in one of our offices. Our servers include encryption,
firewalls, and other security features to protect the access to
your information. As the service is over the internet, there can
be no guarantee that the server can be protected from new or unforeseen
factors.
